Mr. Don Greenbaum, of the Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center in Philadelphia, will discuss his experience as a concentration camp liberator during WWII. $10 donation encouraged. Sponsored by Adult Education
Sunday March 18 2018- 3pm
A performance by the Hot Club of San Francisco- one of the great gypsy swing ensembles in America. The original Hot Club de France, which included the gypsy guitar legend Django Reinhardt, was forced to disband by the Nazis during WWII. Tickets will be available after Jan 1.
Sunday April 8 2018- 10am
Scholar and author Dr. Fred Lazin will offer a contemporary analysis of “Israel’s Changing Collective Identity”. Dr. Lazin was Chair of the Departments of Behavioral Science and Politics and Government at Ben Gurion University. He was also Director of the Hubert H. Humphrey Center of Social Ecology at BGU. $10 donation encouraged. Sponsored by Adult Education.
Sunday June 3 2018- 10am
A screening of the documentary “The Forgotten Refugees” will be followed by a discussion led by Albert Algazi on the mass exodus of Jews from the Middle East and North Africa in the 2nd half of the twentieth century. Mr. Algazi started the Israel Forum at Congregation Brothers of Israel in Newtown. $10 donation encouraged. Sponsored by Adult Education
