Temple Judea’s Religious School has over 200 children from Pre-Kindergarten
(Pre-Gan) through Grade 10. Our students come from 15 surrounding towns to create a cohesive Jewish community. We welcome all families.

Hebrew Bootcamp – Optional Wednesday Evenings, Grades 4-6,
Fall and Spring session, 5:30-7:30 PM
This is a 10 session intensive weekly class. The focus of this class is the basics of Hebrew language. This class is for students who are new to Hebrew or need extra basic practice. It will focus on letters, vowels, and simple decoding. This class will be limited to 10 students in the Fall and Winter/Spring semester.
Prayer Prep – Optional Wednesday Evenings, Grades 4-6, Bi-weekly 5:30-7:30 PM
Meets two times a month for pizza and prayers. Gain proficiency with your prayers and learn the meaning behind the service — while spending time with your friends. This program is highly subsided by the synagogue. It is recommended for students who start Religious School later, may need additional support, or would like to add extra enrichment. Students must exhibit basic decoding skills. Students in the Fall semester of Hebrew Bootcamp may register for the Spring semester only of this class
Confirmation Academy -Wednesday Evening, Grades 7-10 Bi-weekly 5:30-7:30 PM
7-8th grades and 9-10th grades are combined classes held on two year cycles. Topics may include World Religion, Hot topics in Judaism, Jewish Ethics, Israel, Holocaust, Doing Mitzvoth and more. Our curriculum is evolving and will stay current with our students’ interests and pedagogy. The classes will feature a variety of speakers. Students will also begin their year with a special off-campus trip to Skyzone. Our Confirmation students will spend the last 1/3 of the year in a small group environment with Cantor Frimark; first preparing their individual Confirmation parts and then creating clay tzedakah boxes with a local artist. Our 9-10th grade students will also have the opportunity to travel to L’Taken (RAC) in Washington, DC in January, 2019.

Temple Judea is an inclusive community. We have a dedicated Special needs coordinator and we will work with every family to ensure that each child is able to obtain a B’nai Mitzvah. Our Director has extensive experience working with Special needs populations and if need be, help you find a tutor for your child to make this a reality for your family.
